Alaskan Bush People‘s Bear Brown is celebrating the incredible women in his life with a new tribute that has fans in a whirl.
“Happy International Women’s Day!!” The Discovery star posts to Instagram. “I get the honor of working with a lot of strong and awesome women,” he continues. Fans, however, aren’t so sure what’s going on behind the scenes.
International Women’s Day, celebrated each March 8, is a global holiday commemorating the incredible cultural impact and achievements of women across all aspects of life. In addition, the day serves as a beacon for furthering women’s rights, alongside calling attention to gender equality. Alongside the positives, critical societal issues – from reproductive rights to violence against women – are also a focus of the day.
“So inspiring!” Bear concludes his post for International Women’s Day. Within, he shares a selfie of himself with an unnamed friend. She may be a member of the Alaskan Bush People crew, considering his caption. This, however, is only our best guess.
But Bear’s fans aren’t settling for a “best guess,” and are getting a bit pushy with their inquiries. Many are asking “where’s Raven?” in the comment section. “Raven” refers to the mother of his child and fiance, Raiven Adams. Bear announced on his Instagram February 5 that the two were to be married. Since then, however, the two have been rumored to be only co-parenting and no longer pursuing a relationship together.
‘Alaskan Bush People’ Fans Get Pushy on Intl. Women’s Day
Bear’s posting of “another woman,” as one commenter puts it, on Intl. Women’s Day, is only adding fuel to the speculative fire.
“I mean, you really should post a picture of the mother of your child too. Just saying,” another follower scolds.
It’s impossible to know what’s going on behind the scenes – so leaping to judgements like this is never advisable.
“U shoulda posted RAVEN for women’s day…. don’t be surprised by any sass,” an additional commenter scathes. Several more speculative comments were present earlier today, but have since been deleted from the post.
Perhaps due to fans’ behavior such as this and recent overexposure, Bear has moved his Instagram completely to private. As such, his posts are unable to be shared, and only viewable to followers. If you would like to view the Alaskan Bush People star’s photo, you can follow Bear Brown here.
In addition to his Women’s Day message, the Alaskan Bush People star’s other photos showcase his unique ability to capture wilderness with a striking, empathetic eye.
“When Hills Cry”
“When hills cry,” Bear’s previous post laments. Within, his penchant for capturing dramatic wilderness is on full display. The vista is a barren one, showcasing a hillside that has been carved away to accommodate a gravel road. On it, runoff trickles down the bare hillside, leaving streaks that resemble tears down a dry face.
It’s one of many emotional posts the son of late Billy Brown has made of late. Typically, fans and followers have been incredibly supportive of Bear’s public grieving. Out of all their large family, Bear has been the most vocal by far, though, making him a target for the sort of hateful comments coming his way Monday.
In addition to the loss of Alaskan Bush People patriarch Billy Brown, Bear’s potential split with the mother of his child, Raiven, may lead the star to remove his Instagram altogether if fans don’t back down.
