Fans want Frank Fritz, and they’re not happy with “American Pickers” right now. Twitter users took to social media to voice their grievances. And well, they’re not going to be happy until Fritz is back again. It all started thanks to a post by the Offical “American Pickers” Twitter account.
The show shared a picture of a Ford Model B truck. Co-host Mike Wolfe found the vehicle in need of some major work but only $10,000. It was a snag for anyone hoping for an antique dream ride. In fact, “American Pickers” wanted to know fans’ own dream rides. T
The wrote: “Last Monday, Mike @AmericanPicker fell in love with a 1932 Ford Model B truck in need of a major restoration which he was able to snag for $10k. What’s your dream ride? #AmericanPickers.”
Well, fans didn’t seem interested in discussing their dream rides. Instead, they wanted to discuss the drama at the heart of the show right now. Twitter users slammed “American Pickers” for removing Fritz from the show as cold and calculated. Recently, the show removed Fritz from its bio, effectively erasing his contributions to the show.
“@History What are y’all thinking movin [sic] on filming w/out @FritzPicker. There is NO SHOW w/out Frank. One of last good cable shows on T.V but turnin [sic] #Cutthroat & drama fueled like #KeepnUpWithTheKardashians!” one user wrote.
And another said, “Dirty move to @AmericanPicker, You know it 2, Audacity!”
Additionally, another user criticizes the way “American Pickers” handled the situation in light of his past struggles with substance abuse. “History Channel and American Pickers will have one less viewer by the way Frank was treated! Obviously, you guys have NO understanding of addiction or alcoholism!! Letting my Recovery family know also, we’re talking thousands of brothers and sisters!”
‘American Pickers’ Ditches Frank Fritz
The “American Pickers” drama seems to be reaching new heights. And even members of the show have weighed in as well. Danielle Colby spoke candidly about her work relationship with Frank Fritz. She said she urged Fritz to seek help. She also said that he caused a lot of pain but is sad to see him go.
“I’m truly saddened for the loss of Frank on the show. I’m incredibly sad for his struggles,” she wrote in a post. “I have personally watched everything over the last decade. I have many thoughts but won’t speak them as they are only my thoughts, not gospel. I wish things could have been different but we must be accountable for our actions when we cause instability or pain and suffering to others.
Frank Fritz chose to leave “American Pickers” in March 2020 to undergo back surgery. So far, he hasn’t returned since then. Colby doesn’t envision a return for the star.
“Frank caused so much pain for himself that it has been hard to watch. I truly hope Frank receives all the help he needs to become well after years of being unwell. It is not my place to speak Ill of someone who needs help so I will keep my comments uplifting. I’m sending love to everyone…”
