Dog the Bounty Hunter’s daughter Cecily plans to marry in her late mother Beth Chapman’s wedding dress. Chapman passed away last year after a two year battle with cancer.

In an interview with the U.S. Sun, Cecily said she plans to wear the dress to honor her mother at the wedding. She remembered when her parents married and how beautiful her mom looked in the dress at the wedding. Cecily said she wants to look that beautiful on her wedding day.

“It’s very traditional to wear your mother’s dress,” Cecily said. “But most of all it’s a way for me to feel like she is with me the whole time. And be a part of the wedding.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Daughter Got Engaged Two Years Ago

Cecily and her boyfriend Matty got in engaged two years ago at Christmas. Currently, the couple is living together in Hawaii. Before her mother passed away, Cecily said she talked with her about wearing the dress. She said her mother gave her the dress to wear at a future wedding.

“As for my dad, I’m sure it will be super emotional for him to see me wear the dress,” she said about her father Dog. “But he understands what it means to me. He’s been very supportive of us girls having our mother’s things or choosing what to do with them. It will definitely be a special and emotional day for him. But it’s very important to me that he walks me down the aisle.”

Currently, Cecily plans to have the dress tailored before her big day because it doesn’t quite fit right. After the wedding, she said she’ll pass the dress down to her sister Bonnie. The couple wants to get married next year in Hawaii and are planning either a Christmas or Halloween wedding.

“We’re waiting for the whole COVID thing to calm down but if it comes to it we’ll just have a private wedding,” she said. “Hopefully it will be a lot of fun for everyone to get together after we’ve all been locked down for so long. But the one thing I’m definitely not going to do is wear a mask on my wedding day – even if I have to make everyone sit really far away. I am not walking down the aisle in a mask – there’s no way.”
