Congratulations are in order for Reed and Brighton Robertson: their clan is officially growing. Recently, the “Ducky Dynasty” pair revealed that they are expecting their first child together on his personal Instagram account.
“Baby girl Robertson coming in November,” Brighton shared along with pictures of a sonogram. “The pups can’t believe they’re getting a sister and we can’t wait to meet our little girl!”
Robertson’s mom, Missy, commented on the picture, writing she has been waiting to share the exciting announcement. “I’ve been about to burst with this news! Yayayayayay!!! Y’all are going to be awesome parents to my grandbaby!! We love y’all so much,” she wrote.
Jessica Robertson also chimed in with her delight, commenting: “I’m soooooo excited!!!!” Reed’s cousin Sadie Robertson, who just welcomed a daughter with her husband Christian Huff, also said she is “SO EXCITED!!!” Sadie’s mom, Korie, added: “Sooo excited!! We need another girl around here.”
Reed Robertson & Wife Expecting First Child Together
The two got married in 2016 after getting engaged in 2015 when Reed proposed during a family trip to New York City. Robertson proposed to his longtime girlfriend on Christmas Eve.
Reed, who was 20-years-old at the time, got down on one knee at the city’s famous central park with a 3-carat diamond that is an heirloom from Brighton’s family.
The pair designed the one-of-a-kind ring setting together in Nashville, Tenn., but Brighton, who was 19, didn’t see the finished product until he popped the question on Dec. 22 of that year.
Although they worked together to create the perfect ring, she was still surprised by the proposal.
“I wanted to do it before Christmas because I knew she thought it was happening then, and I wanted to make sure she was surprised,” Reed told PEOPLE at the time. “We are so excited to start our lives and our family together as we enjoy this unforgettable period of time.”
Robertson broke the exciting news to fans on Instagram, sharing a photo of the ring and his bride-to-be.
“I couldn’t be more excited to marry this amazing woman,” he wrote. “My fiancée is a babe in every way.”
At the wedding ceremony, the two tied the knot in a rustic wedding under a huge floral archway in a field in Monroe, Louisiana, before their outdoor reception. Thompson wore a princess-style gown and kept her beauty look classic to match with a clean makeup look.
