He has shown some interest in politics, and while Dwayne Johnson has not announced any plans to run for the President of the United States of America, actress Alyssa Milano is already offering her support.
During a recent interview with Extra, Milano stated that she would vote for Dwayne Johnson in a heartbeat if he ever decided to run for President. “There is a clear service-through-love mentality that he has that is really apparent,” the Charmed actress explains. “I think he comes from a place of love and respect.”
Milano goes on to state she has so much respect for someone who didn’t stand by just because of their fear it would alienate half of their audience. “I am grateful [Dwayne Johnson] did come forward and endorse Biden when he country was going through such struggle.”
Last year, Dwayne Johnson took to his social media accounts to share an eight-minute-long video to respond to the death of George Floyd and advocate for Black Lives Matter. He then criticized President Trump by asking “Where are you? Where is our leader?”
Dwayne Johnson expands on his questions by stating, “Where is our compassionate leader who’s going to step up to our country who’s down on its knees, and extend a hand and say, ‘You stand up. Stand up with me. Because I got you. I hear you. I’m listening to you. And you have my word that I’m going to do everything in my power, until my dying day, my last breath to do everything I can to create the change that is needed. To normalize equality because Black Lives Matter.’ Where are you?”
Dwayne Johnson goes on to state the country is needing the leaders that it has been looking for and that the country’s citizens are waiting. He then went on to add that the process to change has already begun and everyone can feel it across the U.S.
“Change is happening. It’s going to take time. We’re going to get beat up. We’re going to take our lumps. There’s going to be blood. But the process of change has already begun.”
Is Dwayne Johnson Considering Running For President?
Dwayne Johnson previously spoke to Vanity Fair about his thoughts about running for office someday.
“You know, at the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics,” Johnson explained. “I don’t know the first thing about policy. I care deeply about our country [and] I care about every f—ing American who bleeds red and that’s all of them.”
Dwayne Johnson does share that while he may have some decent leadership qualities, he doesn’t think that necessarily makes him a great presidential candidate.
“That’s where I am today.”
