Former NCIS actor Zoe McLellan is reportedly now wanted for kidnapping her son amid a custody battle with ex-husband J.P. Gillian.
According to TMZ, Los Angeles Country issued an arrest warrant for the former NCIS castmate in May 2021 with outstanding charges for kidnapping, child custody deprivation, and child stealing that are dating as far back as 2017.
McLellan and her ex have notably been in a custody war for more than five years. Gillian also claims that the actress was taking their son to Canada to film the TV series Designated Survivor without permission or consent from him.
Gillian’s lawyer, Lawrence Markey, also reveals that Gillian has not seen or heard from McLellan or his son since April of 2019. The lawyer then states that the child is “still missing” and is believed to be with the NCIS alum.

It also seems like things got ugly between Gillian and McLellan. The former NCIS actor spoke out about first-degree rape and aggravated crime against nature charges that were filed against Gillian. According to NOLA’s WDSU, the alleged abuse occurred at Gillian’s home in Metairie between 2014 and 2016. Zoe states that the victim was the couple’s son, Sebastian.
“There’s no script I’ve ever read that’s been as awful as this,” Zoe stated at the time. The actress then says she and Sebastian are warriors and not worriers. She then says she will continue to keep him safe. McLellan also reveals that she is speaking out due to fears that her son may not be the only one that has been assaulted. “There are other victims. I am hopeful that they will step forward, that they will have the courage to step forward because there are other victims.”
However, in 2020, the charges against the NCIS alum’s ex were dropped due to a lack of evidence. Steven Lemoine, Gillain’s attorney at the time, claimed he’s an innocent man and there was no corroboration for the things that Sebastian stated. “There were so many contradictions.”

In a 2017 interview with Huffington Post, Zoe McLellan discusses her son’s love and his constant support of her career.
“Sebastian likes to see me happy,” the NCIS alum said. “Whether it’s visiting me on set or watching a Heart Screams video. And when it comes to Sebastian’s future career, I support makes his heart sing!”
McLellan also describes a “perfect day” for her, which involves spending time with Sebastian.
“A perfect day for me is full of all the things I love, which includes packing Sebastian’s lunch and laughing with him all the way to school.” She then continues with slamming some coffee, doing yoga, or a walk. Zoe concludes the day storytime with Sebastian and falling asleep with him.
