George Segal Co-Stars Pay Tribute
“The Goldbergs” is still currently on television on ABC. It is on season eight.
George Segal has been playing “Pops” on the show since it first premiered in 2013. His character is known for acting younger than his age suggests and giving interesting advice to the grandchildren.
Wendi McLendon-Covey stars in the show as Beverly Goldberg. She plays the overprotective mother of the family often nicknamed “smother” by the children. In fact, she goes as far as to meddle in their lives, often leading to embarrassment on the children’s end.
McLendon-Covey posted a photo of the two of them hugging and smiling together. She captioned it, “Didn’t know the last time I saw you would be the last time I’d see you.”
Several others commented on the photo expressing their sadness over his passing. Bevy Smith, known for her work on Bravo’s “Fashion Queens,” commented, “So sad, he was such a part of my childhood, a legendary actor, so sorry for your loss!”
According to Popculture, the last episode with Segal will air on April 7. Fans will get a chance to say goodbye to the actor and “Pops,” as the show is expected to be doing a tribute to him that day.

I wish everyone could have met him. I love you George and I’ll miss you so much. My prayers are with the family.”
On the show, Pops is considered Adam’s best friend and the two often go on little side adventures together.
