Former Jeopardy! contestant and champion Ken Jennings has jokes and he isn’t afraid to use them on his personal social media pages.

Jennings often has a back-and-forth with fellow Jeopardy! winners James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter on social media. His Twitter page is worth a follow just for the humor that he provides. Intelligent and witty, Jennings has a style of dry humor that is all his own. He often draws laughter from his fans and social media followers with his subtle brand of comedy. The former champion even wrote a book on comedy, called “Planet Funny” and has written several other pieces on humor as well. On Tuesday, it was a classic movie that Jennings took aim at.

“I don’t want to get controversial on here but if I went to the Wizard of Oz needing a heart and he gave me a “testimonial,” I’d be super-pissed,” he says in the tweet.

Jennings is, of course, referring to the Tin Man in the “Wizard of OZ” who seeks to ask the wizard for a heart.

The hilarious tweet drew a big response from Jennings’s fans and social media followers. Many chimed in with their own rebuttals that were also very humorous.

“U.S. healthcare system for you,” a social media user jokes.

Jeopardy! Champion Could Get Hosting Job

Jennings is widely considered to be the greatest game show contestant of all time and has won more than $4.5 million playing game shows. Upon the passing longtime Jeopardy! host, Alex Trebek, he was the first selection to serve as guest host. Many Jeopardy! fans say they would like to him gain consideration for the permanent role when Jeopardy! decides to go in that direction. His stint as guest host was very successful, taking in a high score on the Nielsen Rating scale. Of the guest hosts completing their term on Jeopardy!, Jennings has the highest Nielsen score at a very respectable 6.0. The next closest to that score is executive producer Mike Richards with a 5.9 score.

Jeopardy! hosting duties are currently in the capable hands of actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik. The reviews have been largely positive for her performance on the show. Her run as the guest host of Jeopardy! will come to a close this Friday. Bialik has many supporters who say they would like to see her garner consideration for the permanent job. She is one of only two females who have served as guest host of Jeopardy! with journalist Katie Couric the other one.
