If you thought you were the only one dealing with school-day issues on Monday, then make room for “Jeopardy!” legend Ken Jennings.
Yes, Jennings, the popular champion and former guest host of “Jeopardy!”, had something to say about a delayed first day of school for his children.
He used the good, old Twitter platform as a way to express his feelings in a rather succinct way.
Jennings currently lives in Seattle with his wife Mindy, son Dylan, and daughter Caitlin. One might presume this comment has to do with Caitlin, since she is 14 years old. Dylan is 18 years old. Maybe Jennings was getting first-day photos of both children since his comment mentions “kids” in it.
But the “Jeopardy!” champion, guest host, and consulting producer for the show is keeping quite busy. Obviously, family is an important part of his life. Here’s hoping the rest of Jennings’ Monday ended up not being so, um, weird.
‘Jeopardy!’ Continues With Anderson Cooper As Guest Host
Now we mentioned that Jennings was a guest host on the famed game show. He started the ball rolling in January after the final original “Jeopardy!” shows with late host Alex Trebek finished up.
On Monday, April 19, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper started his two-week spin on the show. Cooper has said he believes a show like “Jeopardy!” can be beneficial to families.
“For me, I have so many memories of ‘Jeopardy!’ of watching it with my brother, watching it with my mom over the years,” Cooper said in an interview prior to his first show. “And I think that’s one of the great things about ‘Jeopardy!’
“There’s not a lot of stuff you can do as a family together and know that it’s intelligent and educational and fun and, you know, exciting,” he said.

Cooper Wants ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Rematch With Cheech Marin
Over the years, Cooper has appeared on the show’s “Celebrity Jeopardy!” version. One particular time still sticks in his memory.
In 2020, the “60 Minutes” correspondent found himself losing to comedy legend Cheech Marin. Marin, of course, was part of the “Cheech and Chong” comedy team with Tommy Chong.
Cooper said he was surprised by Marin’s knowledge during the game.
“Do you know what it’s like to walk into the CNN newsroom the day after Cheech Marin has destroyed you? Wolf Blitzer reading the paper like giving you side-eye as you walk by,” he said in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.
“I still want a rematch — someday, somehow,” Cooper told Cheech in a 2020 interview while reflecting on Trebek’s life.
For now, Cooper will handle “Jeopardy!” hosting duties for two weeks.
