It’s Thanksgiving, Outsiders, and Law & Order: Organized Crime star Chris Meloni is having fun with his day of thanks and gratitude in the way only Meloni would know how to: adorable photos with his dog.

Meloni took to his personal Instagram to celebrate the day with his adorable pup.

Yeah, it’s safe to say Meloni loves his little pup. Meloni wrote for the caption a hilarious Thanksgiving List done right as it read,

Thanksgiving How To:
Find turkey
Approach slowly
Make friends with turkey
Mind meld turkey
Have change of heart
Just be thankful

This was a different kind of hilarious Instagram post than we have seen from other celebrities this holiday season. Meloni, being the hilarious actor that he is, would come up with something as hilarious as this, though, right, Outsiders? He loves his dog and he loves the prospect of being thankful this holiday season. The message is both humorous and so like the actor.

Fans also loved the post. One fan wrote, “Awww dog wins Happy Thanksgiving.” Another wrote, “That’s the cutest turkey I’ve ever seen. Definitely deserves a pardon.”

Clearly, the photo from Meloni was a major hit.

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ And Chris Meloni

It’s all about giving thanks and showing gratitude for Meloni. The longtime star of Law & Order: Organized Crime is loyal to his friends in the industry. He remembers to give thanks and show gratitude for his costars over the years. That includes Mariska Hargitay, his former costar from Law & Order: SVU, who he is still close with today. Meloni said about his friend Mariska, “I have been trusted with one task tonight — introduce someone who needs no introduction, who I’ve been working with for 13 years, and been friends with for 22.”

It didn’t always start off that way, though, “Because tonight, I am here to right a wrong that has festered for far too long. Twenty years ago an interviewer asked me about Mariska, and I said, ‘She has great energy.’” This sounded good, in theory, but Mariska did not take it that way at all. She was upset about Meloni using that adjective at the time and told him about it.

He concluded about the brief snafu, “She read the article, she brought it to me in hair and makeup, she goes, ‘What is this?’ I go, ‘What do you mean? You have great energy.’ She goes, ‘You don’t say someone has great energy, because what that means is you have nothing nice to say about them, you have nothing original or truthful, you might as well say I have a great personality.’”

How funny is that, Outsiders? Meloni has a lot to be thankful this Thanksgiving season, and that includes his adorable pup and his longtime friend Mariska.
