Is there anything better than seeing Law & Order stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni back together on set? Not if you ask us.
We have all came to know and love Hargitay and Meloni over the years. As for Hargitay, her role as Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU has made her into a bonafide superstar. She has maintained her role since the very beginning of the show in 1999. Since then, she has received all kinds of accolades including a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. And she still stars in it to this very day.
As for Christopher Meloni, he also rose to stardom alongside Mariska Hargitay on Law & Order: SVU. You probably know him as NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler. He played the role of Detective Stabler on SVU for the show’s first 12 seasons. Since then, however, he has brought back his beloved character back to star on the set of the Law & Order spin-off, Law & Order: Organized Crime.
For more than two decades, Hargitay and Meloni’s characters have only been partners and close friends. They have never actually gotten together as a couple despite fans thinking they would make a great couple. But the two are up close and personal in some teaser pictures posted from Hargitay to her official Instagram account.
Hargitay captioned her photo with Meloni using the following hashtags.

We’re not crazy here, right? It sort of looks like Hargitay is teasing that she and Meloni might be getting together in the upcoming seasons of Law & Order.
‘Law & Order’ Star Posts Another Hint About Hargitay and Meloni
Fans of the popular show have been dreaming of Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler getting together for more than 20 years. And now it looks like they just might be getting their wish.
The two famous actors dropped some more hints about their characters back in a Law & Order promo video posted earlier this year. One of those moments included seeing the hard-nosed Stabler finally telling Benson “I love you” after all those years.
“Here we are, Benson and Stabler back together,” Mariska Hargitay says in the video.
“It just seems natural to me, it’s like gin and tonic,” added Meloni.
At first, fans weren’t sure if the hints just meant that the two stars would be working together again or if it meant they would actually be getting together as a couple. Meloni helped clear things up.
“This is where it gets interesting,” he said. “Obviously, Stabler has feelings for his ex-partner Benson. They’re doubling down on that.”
Hargitay said, “I think it’s what the fans wanted.”
