‘Law & Order: SVU‘ Star Mariska Hargitay is keeping her fans up-to-date on her recovery after she broke her ankle at a movie premiere. This comes after she broke her knee and tore a ligament earlier this summer.

Hargitay broke her ankle after a July 1 screening of the new Marvel movie Black Widow. She was going to host an after-party but fell and broke her ankle, PopCulture said. The party went on, but Hargitay spent her night in the emergency room.

She posted a photo of the cast on her ankle to Instagram and wrote how bored she is. But she’s been lucky that her friends and family have been so kind to her during her painful ordeal.

“Greetings Slow day here at the office. (The) view is getting a bit monotonous……. #ExceptForTheWallpaper But I’m feeling happy and grateful. For my #Friends and #SmallMiracles and #Blessings and #kindness and #Gratitude#LaidUp#LegSupport#ALegUp,” she posted.

A witness told Page Six slipped on a rain-soaked street after the movie was letting out.

“(Mariska Hargitay) was taken to Southampton Hospital by ambulance with her husband Peter Hermann,” Page Six said. “She stayed there for several hours and ended up with a bandaged leg. She didn’t make it back to her house until after midnight when the party had mostly wound down.”

‘Law & Order’ Star Talks About Her Broken Knee

Earlier this summer, the 57-year-old actress caused a stir online after she was photographed leaving a New York City hospital. The Law & Order: SVU star had a large brace on her right knee and another brace on her left ankle.

She told fans via Instagram that she had just left the hospital after getting an MRI. Doctors told her she had a “broken knee, a hairline fracture in your ankle, and a torn ligament.” Though, she said, she wouldn’t require surgery.

Though rumors spread about her injuries and she had to again take to Instagram to explain that she was never hospitalized. And the injury didn’t happen on the set of Law & Order: SVU or any of its crossovers.

Some fans worried that her injuries would keep her from filming her finale of Law & Order: SVU or working on the spin-off Law & Order: Organized Crime. That didn’t happen either.

Despite the injuries, she continued filming the finale of Law & Order: Organized Crime with former partner Christopher Meloni. She explained the timeline in an Instagram story after fans were concerned about her health.

“I did break my knee two weeks ago and then I was up on it, unfortunately,” Hargitay said. “But then I went to get an MRI and that’s when I learned I broke a knee and [had] some other issues.”
