Country music’s biggest night kicks off tonight, with Outsider favorite Miranda Lambert kicking things off. She’s already teased some excitement saying: “I am opening the show this year. So I can’t tell you much other than that… some surprises. I’m also done at 7:05 so I get to sit and enjoy the night so it is amazing.”

Did we mention it’s the superstar’s birthday? The newly 38-year-old has a lot to look back on and celebrate this year. She took to Instagram to share a reel of some of her best red carpet looks through the years and fans can’t get enough of the electric energy ahead of tonight.

Miranda Lambert Is Sure to be Your Girl Crush at the 2021 CMA Awards

Here’s Miranda Lambert’s montage of some of her fiercest fashion moments set to the tune of her own upbeat “Little Red Wagon”:

Fans notate the birthday gal’s “glow up” and can’t wait to see what she has in store for them tonight.

The big night actually marks the 55th annual CMA Awards and it looks like Miranda Lambert will get to keep her streak as the most awarded female artist in CMA history with three nominations this year. First, there’s Musical Event of the Year for her “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” collaboration with Elle King. Then, there’s the double whammy of Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Reba McEntire follows closely behind with the most award nominations out of all country female artists with 49 in her pocket since ’83 and six total awards.

Birthday Wishes from Her Fur Babies

On her Instagram Story, Miranda Lambert says she was grateful to receive birthday wishes from each of her “babies.” The story then shows off the different animals she’s added to her pack over the years. There are cats, dogs, goats, and a whole slew of horses with beautifully braided hair. You’ll have to click through the Story to meet all these adorable creatures, but you can do that here.

To this day, animal advocacy stands as one of the main causes near and dear to the singer’s heart. An avid proponent of animal rescue, she started the MuttNation Foundation a while back to raise awareness for rescuing and adopting shelter dogs. Recently, that organization also teamed up with the Country Music Association to do even more. Together, they are pledging to help pay music industry workers’ pet bills during the pandemic, whether the workers face financial hardships directly from COVID-19 or otherwise.

Pet Lifestyles Magazine even dubbed Miranda Lambert the “Queen of Rescues” back in September for all her hard work.
