The Academy of Country Music announces the time and place of the 2022 ACM Awards. It will stream live via Amazon Prime Video.

It is a great day for country music fans! The 2022 ACM Awards are officially taking place on Monday, March 7th, 2022 in Las Vegas. The event will be held at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. Damon Whiteside (CEO of the Academy of Country Music) shared the news alongside Prime Video and MRC today.

“We are thrilled to return to Las Vegas to celebrate country music’s Party of the Year in this incredible brand-new stadium and on the Prime Video streaming service for the first time ever,” Whiteside said in the announcement post. “We can’t thank the city of Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium enough for welcoming us for the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards—a party so big only a stadium can hold it!”

The Academy of Country Music is teaming up with Amazon Prime Video to stream the awards show exclusively on the platform. This is a history-making move, considering the ceremony has aired on broadcast since 1966. Fans have been excited about this partnership when it was first announced in August 2021.

About the ACM Awards

The ACM Awards are always fun to watch. The Academy of Country Music shines a light on up-and-coming artists, as well as the legacy acts that fans love. Last year’s winners included Luke Bryan, Dan+Shay, and Maren Morris. There are always impressive live performances that take place as well. Entertainers such as Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire have graced the stage with powerful musical moments. The whole purpose of the award show is to connect artists and fans on a deeper level.

“Today, the ACM is dedicated more than ever to promoting new artists, artists on the rise, and established superstars, while supporting the good work of charitable causes,” the Academy says on their website. ACM Lifting Lives is this charitable branch of the association, which partners with health programs to improve people’s lives through music. This branch has funded music therapy programs, mental and physical health programs around the country. It also services individuals in the music industry through the Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund. This fund covers a wide range of “financial, medical, and personal emergencies.”

This combination of music and giving back is the backbone of the association. Since the ACM Awards’ first broadcast in 1966, the Academy has done everything it can to keep country music alive, thriving, and connected to great causes. A list of performers, nominations, and presenters will be announced soon. Until then, let’s get in our cars and listen to our favorite country hits.
