Alan Jackson never disappoints, and that was the case at the ACM Awards as he beautifully performed two songs.
The country icon took the stage to perform “Drive,” but then transitioned into one of his new tracks, “You’ll Always Be My Baby.” The second is about his daughters’ weddings and pulled at any country fan’s heartstrings.
The 62-year-old’s highly anticipated album and performance is something that has set the country world abuzz. Finally getting to see Jackson belt out one of his new tracks is easily one of the major attractors for the ACM Awards. It’s a decent appetizer as we await the full release of his new album Where Have You Gone, which comes out on May 14.
Unfortunately, the ACM Awards haven’t uploaded the performance of the second song, but enjoy “Drive” in the meantime.
Fans Lose It Over Alan Jackson Performance
An already classic song about fathers and daughters, there are also fans losing themselves to tears. Just ask @meltonbailey and her father.
“my dad just texted me & told me he started crying to the song You’ll Always Be My Baby x Alan Jackson & now I’m crying”
Even @tadahitsjenni couldn’t hold back her tears as Jackson performed his new song.
“Alan Jackson has me sobbing with this whole daddy daughter narrative.”
It’s an absolutely beautiful song, and it’s even more beautiful to see it connect with fans in real time.
