National Tight Ends Day might’ve been Oct. 25, but that’s not stopping Billy Ray Cyrus from showing his support. He’s celebrating the football position in a special way.
Billy Ray Cyrus isn’t shy when it comes to sharing various things on social media. As a matter of fact, he quite often takes part in social media celebrated holidays. This time he’s paying respect to tight ends. Cyrus ordered officially licensed merchandise from the NFL and took to Twitter to share his recent purchase.

The shirt lists out various plays and actions that tight ends complete. The four actions are mentioned in a video by NFL. Players are also seen with their own versions of the shirt that Cyrus now has.

Of course, the NFL also chimed in on celebrating National Tight End Day. The official Twitter account for the NFL shared various tweets about the acclaimed position.
First up, a highlight reel of tight ends. The caption says to “RESPECT. THE. POSITION.” and is punctuated with the arm flexing emoji.
The account follows up the tweet with a video sharing commentary from the national holiday. And of course, the commentary is provided by none other than the tights ends from the league.
During the video, a sportscaster asks who made up this holiday? He’s answered with probably the tight ends.
