Blake Shelton is in love and he doesn’t care who knows it. The country singer professed his love for fiancé Gwen Stefani on stage at the People’s Choice Award. Shelton took home the honor of Top Country Artist.
He thanked his fiancé and rival judge on The Voice in his acceptance speech by urging audience members to Google her if they didn’t know who she was.
“Thank you to my new fiancé, Gwen Stefani,” he said. “That’s S-t-e-f-a-n-i, if you need to Google it to figure out who she is. Thanks for the inspiration and I love you guys, thank you.”

Professing his love for Stefani at the award show is slowly becoming a yearly tradition for Shelton. At last year’s ceremony, Shelton celebrated Stefani winning the Fashion Icon Award. He said, “Gwen Stefani, I love the s— out of you.”
During his acceptance speech this year, Shelton also took a moment to thank his fans and convey how honored he felt to receive the award.
“Wow. This is crazy. This is absolutely insane,” Shelton said. “I’m so happy that we’re able to have this award show in spite of everything.”
Unfortunately, Stefani wasn’t at the ceremony in person to hear Shelton’s humorous declaration this year. Due to COVID-19 protocols, she waited in the car while Shelton went to see if he would win the award. She passed the time by listening to Shelton’s music and posting on Instagram.

Shelton and Stefani have been dating for five years after meeting on The Voice. Last month, the couple dispelled rumors they were breaking up by announcing their engagement via Twitter.
Since then, they have been busy planning a future together. Reportedly, the couple doesn’t want a big wedding but is planning a more intimate gathering for family and close friends. The two previously bought a house together earlier this year.
Professionally, the two also celebrated some big news when their song “Nobody But You” was nominated for an American Music Association Award. The two appear happier than ever.
