Carrie Underwood spilled the beans after revealing what’s been at the top of her musical bucket list when she appeared on the Late Show with Seth Meyers.
During the interview, Meyers asked Underwood about various topics, including her Christmas album, her holiday special, and singing the opening theme for Sunday Night Football.
This year, Underwood hit new milestones in her career after releasing her critically acclaimed Christmas album, My Gift. In addition, HBO Max featured Underwood in her own Christmas special called, My Gift: A Christmas Special from Carrie Underwood. During the interview, she beamed as she discussed all the fun she had working on a Christmas album, saying, “It’s always been on my musical bucket list.”
“This year just seemed like the perfect year to do it.” She added, “It was just nice to be able to create positive music and put peaceful vibes into the world.”
Carrie Underwood’s Odd Item on Her Christmas List
Later in the show, Carrie Underwood described her delight when Meyers asked the country superstar about the unique Christmas present she got from her husband.
“I wanted cows, I love cows and I grew up with them. They’re like big dogs to me. They’re probably my favorite animal if I had to pick one. I’ve always wanted them so when he said ‘What do you want for Christmas?’ I said cows.”
Underwood also described how her husband raced to the auction when the singer requested the odd gift.
“He slapped some wranglers on and put his hat on, and he was at the sale like two days later,” she said.
Despite Underwood’s elation with her gift, she admitted in an interview that she often asks not to get presents because she’s “so awful” at returning the favor.
“I’m actually not a good gift-giver… I will tell my husband like, ‘Don’t get me anything,’ because that means I have to get him something,” she teased. “I’m so awful!”
