It has not been long since Carrie Underwood joined Jason Aldean on If I Didn’t Love You. Now, the song is a No.1 country music single. When you get two artists of that caliber together, it is going to be a big hit, no doubt.
At the beginning of September, the music video dropped. It is a big, bold, and uplifting love song. The two sing the duet beautifully. Each singer has a verse to be highlighted and shine on their own. However, their voices together harmonize so well.
Now, Carrie Underwood is congratulating her duet partner on the success of the song. The former American Idol contestant shared a thoughtful message and photo on Twitter to celebrate. It shows the two artists in the studio together.
“Congrats on the country radio #1, @Jason_Aldean! Thank you for inviting me to be a part of this song, and thanks so much to our fans who have shown it so much love! #IfIDidntLoveYou,” the post reads.
Both singers have over 20 No.1 singles already. This is just another one to add to the long list of successes they have each had. Aldean brought Underwood onto the song and struck gold it seems. It remains to be seen how long the song will remain on top of the charts. However, it seems to have picked up steam since first debuting. Now, it is the top country song in the country. Now that is something worth celebrating.
Carrie Underwood Rocked the Stage at the Grand Ole Opry
Recently, while riding this new little wave of success, Carrie Underwood performed at the Grand Ole Opry. Just a couple of days ago, on October 23, Underwood took to the stage at the Opry. Luckily, for fans that missed the performance, you can watch it in its entirety here.
Underwood has not just been focusing on country music but has also been singing gospel songs as well. On Instagram, she referred to the performance by saying, “Singin’ songs about Jesus on the Opry stage is the best way to spend a Saturday night!” She also mentioned how great the crowd was. Those songs about Jesus have done pretty well for the singer-songwriter.
Carrie Underwood was able to add yet another award to her shelf soon after the Opry performance. Her collaboration with CeCe Winans for Great Is Thy Faithfulness, has earned her another Dove Award. Not only did the song from her gospel album My Savior earn the award, but the album itself is also being nominated. The record is up for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year. This could be quite the award season for the country music singer. The award season is about to really ramp up this fall.
