The “CMA Country Christmas” show is one step closer to being on-screen for fans. Now fans also know which of their favorite artists will be spreading the holiday cheer this year.
The 11th annual “CMA Country Christmas” show was recorded in September with no audience present. It is co-hosted by Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Atkins. The show is set to premiere on Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. CT.
The Lucky Lineup
This year will feature nine different artists each singing a different Christmas tune.
Kelsea Ballerini
Ballerini will be singing “Santa Baby” on the show. She has not publicly performed a version of this song yet.
Ballerini has a public playlist on Spotify called “Kelsea Ballerini’s Cozy Christmas.” This features her singing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” as well as “My Favorite Things” with Joey Alexander.
It also has several other covers from artists like Nick Jonas to Brett Eldredge.
Gabby Barrett
Barrett will be performing “The First Noel” this year.
Barrett has already dropped her version of the song for fans to listen to. The singer released her debut album “Goldmine” earlier this year.
Lady A
The group Lady A will be performing “Wonderful Christmastime” and “Little Saint Nick.”
Both songs are featured on their Christmas album “On This Winter’s Night” which was released this year.
A few other songs that appear on the album are “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.
Little Big Town
The band “Little Big Town” will be performing “Christmas Time is Here.”
The band does not have any Christmas albums, however, they have performed songs like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “I Pray on Christmas” in the past.
Tim McGraw
McGraw performed “It Wasn’t His Child” at the TV performance this year.
He has performed songs like “Dear Santa” and “Christmas All Over the World” in the past.
Darius Rucker with Lindsey Stirling
The two will be seen performing “What Child Is This?”
Rucker had his own Christmas album in 2014 titled “Home For The Holidays.” It had songs like “What God Wants For Christmas” and “O Come, All Ye Faithful” on it.
Stirling released a winter album in 2018 called “Warmer in The Winter.”
Dan + Shay
The iconic duo will be performing “Christmas isn’t Christmas.”
This original song appeared after their first release which was “Take Me Home for Christmas.”
“’Christmas Isn’t Christmas’ is very special to us … We wrote this song with our families in mind. We are definitely reminded around the holiday season how important it is to have those people that you love around you. Christmas really isn’t Christmas if you don’t have the people that you love around you,” the two said in a press release addressing the song.
Florida Georgia Line
The group will perform “Lit This Year.”
This is their first ever original Christmas song and it was released this year.
It’s all about spreading the news “That Christmas tree ain’t the only thing getting lit this year.”
Thomas Rhett
Finally, the last performer will be host Thomas Rhett singing “Christmas in the Country.”
This is Rhett’s Christmas single released in 2019. It also includes his other single “The Christmas Song.”
