This year’s Country Music Television Artists of the Year will occur tonight, October 13th, at 9 p.m ET/PT on CMT. Here is how to watch and when to watch.
CMT has prepared an iconic lineup for you tonight to honor country music. Randy Travis is tonight’s honoree. Other country music stars are also making appearances. Happening at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, a press release issued for the show states:
Garth Brooks joins this year’s presenter lineup to honor friend and country legend Randy Travis with the highly-coveted “Artist of a Lifetime” award, alongside some of the biggest stars across music, television, entertainment and social media, including Connie Britton, Eric Church, Lady A, Michael W. Smith, Misty Copeland, Morgan Evans and Nelly who will honor this year’s “CMT Artists of the Year” honorees: Chris Stapleton, Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Mickey Guyton, and Travis.
As previously announced, Boyz II Men, Jonas Brothers, Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix will perform. Walker Hayes and Yola are also going to perform, along with Barrett, Brown, Ballerini, Combs, and Guyton.
The 90-minute special returns to its original format after adapting last year to honor some of the most vital and inspirational Americans on the frontlines of the pandemic. Artists honored as this year’s 2021 “CMT Artists of the Year” are Chris Stapleton, Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, and Luke Combs. They will be joined alongside “Breakout Artist of the Year” Mickey Guyton and “Artist of a Lifetime” Randy Travis.
The 2021 “CMT Artists of the Year” ceremony will also feature never-before-seen performances. The show will also see countless collaborations, with special guests, performers, and presenters.
Randy Travis is joining the honorary club alongside Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Kenny Rogers, and more.
How To Watch
There are several different ways to watch the event if cable isn’t an option.
“CMT Artists of the Year” will be available to stream for free on Philo TV, and Fubo TV. They are available on your Roku, Roku TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV or Firestick, Apple TV, any Android or Apple device, or even on Philo’s browser on your computer.
The program is also available on Vidgo for $10 this month.
