On Wednesday (October 13th), country superstar Dolly Parton took to Twitter to participate in the new “red flag” social media trend.
“When her beauty is beyond compare with flaming locks of auburn hair,” Dolly Parton stated, referencing her hit single Jolene in the post. She also used numerous red flag emojis.
So, what is the ‘red flag’ social media trend? According to The Sun, the trend involves a series of red flags next to a post that signifies a problem or big issue. Something that a social media user considers a red flag about someone else. People have notably been posting suspicious descriptions. They then follow up with a number of red flags. This trend has been happening on Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
Along with Dolly Parton, other well-knowns have also joined in the ‘red flag’ trend. This includes sports teams like the Patriots and Steelers. Even the Olympics organizers tweeted, “Sport is overrated” with multiple red flags.
Dolly Parton Opens Up About Her First-Ever Kiss
During a video interview with W Magazine, Dolly Parton opened up about her first-ever kiss. “My first kiss? Lord have mercy. I think my first real kiss was still in grade school.”
Dolly Parton recalled one of her girlfriends having a party and those invited were playing spin the bottle. “I got my first kiss from a boy there. A different boy than my first crush. But I was happy that it landed on one of the cute boys.”
The country singer also stated that she had a lot of boys in her life at one point in time. “I loved boys,” Dolly Parton declared. “And I still do.”
Also during her interview with W Magazine, Dolly Parton revealed that she has a crush on late-night talk show host, Jimmy Fallon. “Well, I have a crush on Jimmy Fallon. But I’m big now. I can’t excuse myself on that. I think he is precious. He’s so funny. We get along so good.”
Dolly Parton goes on to explain that sometimes you may never know how you’re going to have a connection with. She also said that she always had good luck with the “late-night guys.” She explained, “I always had a nice relationship with David Letterman and with Johnny Carson. I guess there’s something about that late-night people that kinda hits my fancy and I hit theirs somehow.”
Dolly Parton goes on to add that she also had a big crush on Johnny Cash. She described him as young and skinny with magnetism. “The way he moved around. You know, so sexy. I found out later he was just having withdrawals from drugs. But it still touched me. He was so, so sexy.”
