The Florida half of Florida Georgia Line, Brian Kelley, announced recently that he would be releasing a solo album.

That album is becoming even more of a reality as Kelley just signed with Nashville South Records, which is a partnership alongside Warner Music Nashville. He has signed with the company exclusively to collaborate for his solo music career.

Brian Kelley Signs New Company

According to Billboard, Kelley is anticipated to release his music very soon. He is expected to release solo songs this spring and then a complete album later this year.

“I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who has helped me on my journey to get here. I’m humbled to team up with Warner Music Nashville to take the music I’ve been dreamin’ and schemin’ up to the next level. This is just the beginning of a whole new adventure. My vision for what’s next is a vibe and state of mind – get ready to ride the wave with ya Beach Cowboy, y’all!” Kelley said to Billboard.

In the past few months Florida Georgia Line, which also includes Tyler Hubbard, denied any rumors that they were splitting up. The two are also still partners in other ventures like the FGL House, Round Here Records, Tree Vibez Music, Old Camp Whiskey, and Wolf Moon Bourbon.

The group also signed with Live Nation in November making them their official U.S. promoter for a future tour. This depends on the future of the pandemic now. The duo also released “Life Rolls On” in February. It debuted at No.3 on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart. This seems proof enough that the duo isn’t preparing to split as of now.

Florida Georgia Line Rumours of Split

There have been speculations of a split between the two members of the duo group following the presidential election.

The two have major differences of opinion on several issues. Both Hubbard and his wife, Hayley Hubbard, also unfollowed Brian Kelley on Instagram. At the time, both singers said that despite a fight and differences, the band was here to stay.

Now both artists are releasing solo music. According to US Weekly, the group released a video on Twitter of a Zoom call. Kelley shared that the pandemic led him to discover an interest in pursuing a solo career and that it’s a “lifelong” dream.

He felt the timing was finally right. Kelley released a song with Tim McGraw in February called “Undivided.”

“We’ve always been a package deal. Just to clarify, FGL is not breaking up so anyone who says that, from the mouth of Tyler and BK. We’re not breaking up, we’re just venturing out,” Hubbard said.

Despite ups and downs in a 10-year partnership, nothing has made the pair want to split up in the past. The isolation and time that the pandemic has given everyone just created a perfect opening for solo music.
