Kelsea Ballerini is a year older and the country star has got a pretty sweet thing going on, both in her career and at home.
The “Hole in the Bottle” singer is officially 28-years-old. Despite still being young and with much of her career in front of her, she has achieved immense success. Blending pop and country music is nothing new, but it’s clear that Ballerini’s work is connecting in a big way.
Part of her journey through country music involved dating, and then marrying Morgan Evans. Evans has also made a name for himself in the scene, and the Australian-born singer and Kelsea Ballerini have rose up together. After getting married in 2017, the pair have been unstoppable and inseparable.
In a new post from Evans, he wishes his wife happy birthday with a sweet and kind of funny photo.
“She brings out the artist and the poet in me,” Evans wrote. “… And I stand by it! Happy Birthday to my favourite human of all, @kelseaballerini.”
You’re doing it right, Mr. Evans. In a single post, he calls Ballerini, hot, makes a joke with the caption, and made her fans swoon. Everything a birthday post for a significant other should be.
This is all before Ballerini herself threw the cherry on top with her comment.
“it’s the running through a restaurant with a dozen roses today for me,” Ballerini replied to the post.
Imagine that scene and try not to smile. Good stuff, Morgan Evans, good stuff.
Kelsea Ballerini Hosted 2021 CMT Music Awards
If having multiple No. 1 hits, a similarly successful husband and all the other things she’s accomplished isn’t enough, Kelsea Ballerini can hang her hat on another duty: hosting the 2021 CMT Music Awards.
Alongside Kane Brown, the country singer ran the show at this year’s awards. As Outsider’s own Jacklyn Krol covered, Ballerini was amped up about the occasion, especially in the context of the past year or so.
“I’m so excited to be hosting the 2021 CMT Music Awards with Kane,” Ballerini said in a statement. “The CMT Awards are so special because they are truly fan voted. Following a year plus where we have not been able to be with the fans and share music together, will make this night even more special.”
As Ballerini mentions, the show’s awards are completely decided by fans. That may make it a popularity contest, but there’s something to be said about what fans want.
It also allowed her the chance to debut a new song, “I Quit Drinking” with Paul Klein of band LANY.
