Miranda Lambert was all cherry lips and sass in her latest social media post. The singer shared a photo online thanking her awesome band and crew. This was after a successful summer fair and festival season. The singer hit the road to perform at multiple locations throughout the midwest and south.

Dressed in black with frayed jean shorts and black fishnet tights, Lambert holds a sparkly drink in hand as she puckers up for the camera. With so much attitude exuding from a photo, the concert series itself was most likely a high-energy treat.

“Last night we wrapped up our summer fair and festival season. Thanks to my band and crew for all the hard work and backstage shenanigans! And big love to everyone who came out to the shows. 💖 Cheers to all y’all!” Lambert captioned the photo.

We’re sure whatever backstage shenanigans were happening, there was never a dull moment. Lambert is known for her spontaneity and fun quips. The southern “Little Red Wagon” singer signed her first record deal 18 years ago, and hasn’t slowed down since.

Miranda Lambert’s Early Days

In the early 2000s, Lambert was chipping away at her chance in show business. She appeared on “Nashville Star” where she placed third overall. Still, this didn’t deter her from making career moves and Lambert released “Kerosene” which reached number one on the country charts.

Since that time, the “Gunpowder and Lead’ singer has stuck to her guns to remain true to herself and her roots. Even as she signed with different labels throughout the years, including Columbia Nashville and RCA Records, Lambert said it was important to her that she stay in control of her music and her look.

However, being authentic as an artist means you admit your shortcomings too.

“It’s a scary thing to put on yourself,” Lambert said in a 2015 interview with Elle magazine, “but it’s also okay to make mistakes and it’s okay to admit that you have insecurities because we all do. It’s okay to be a little rough around the edges.”

With seven albums that have reached number one, Lambert continues to prove she’s a versatile performer. After her public separation from fellow country star, Blake Shelton, Lambert released the delicate but powerful “The Weight of These Wings” which fans responded to wildly.

Lending advice to her young fans about pain and tragedy and self-discovery, Lambert reminds her fans to just follow their hearts.

“Just start figuring out what you love, and what you’re about, and don’t ever stray from it because people will try to pull you in a million directions.”
