Nothing quite screams the true essence of the holidays quite like singing along to the lyrics “All I want for Christmas is tequila in my stocking.'”
With the holidays being a bit different due to COVID-19, RaeLynn sings the testament to how some people might be choosing to get through this last section of 2020.
RaeLynn Releases Holiday Hit
The country artist and former “The Voice” alum released her Christmas single “Jingle Bell Drunk.” She released it along with her version of “Silent Night” featuring Garrison on Nov. 25.
According to The Boot, the boozy single was co-penned by RaeLynn along with songwriters Corey Crowder, Ernest Keith Smith, and Rocky Block.
RaeLynn is a part of Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley’s record label Round Here Records.
Drunk This Christmas
The singer is talking all about how she plans to get “jingle bell drunk this Christmas.”
“Mrs. Claus is drinking White Claws on the roof / Uncle Santa polished off the hundred proof (and poof).”
Besides singing about the boozy holidays, Raelynn has also released “Baytown” this year. It is a collection of the singles like “Me About Me” and “Bra Off” that she had been releasing for fans.
RaeLynn was on “The Voice” in season two in 2012. She made it to the quarterfinals. However, she has still had success in releasing country music. Many of her songs discuss the relationship with her now-husband Josh Davis. Her song “Lonely Call” talks about a period of uncertainty the two had.
Another song of hers “Queens Don’t” is an encouraging anthem for those in the face of challenges and criticism. Her anthem says exactly what a modern-day queen is all about.
RaeLynn certainly didn’t stray far from her Queen-like, don’t care attitude in her Christmas single.
The song now joins other boozy Christmas songs like “One More Christmas Beer” by Sunny Sweeney, “Drunk on Christmas” by Big & Rich, as well as “All I Want for Christmas is Whiskey” by Dan Rodriguez.
‘Tis the season to be warm and extra jolly.
