On a recent edition of her podcast, Living and Learning with Reba McEntire, the singer and her co-host Melissa Peterman discuss a myriad of topics.
The November 9th episode is titled “Reinventing Yourself” and Darius Rucker is the guest of honor for the show. Spotify, where listeners can find the podcast, briefly describes the episode:
“Reba and Melissa explore the idea of reinventing yourself, how life is a constant evolution and how to approach your own desire for change. Their expert guest advice columnist and Author Heather Havrilesky offers her top five tips on self-reinvention, big or small, and the ladies talk to singer Darius Rucker about going from the lead singer of Rock Band Hootie and the Blowfish to becoming an acclaimed country star, and the importance of authenticity in all phases of life.”
Vince Gill became the topic of conversation when Rucker was asked who his biggest supporters are since coming to Nashville.
“This is not going to surprise anyone — Vince Gill,” Rucker says. “Vince Gill was telling people around town I had a great record coming out and that was huge.”

McEntire, who has a long-lasting friendship with the dynamic singer, was quick to agree with Rucker on Gill’s contributions. She had much praise to heap on the “Don’t Let Our Love Start Slippin Away” singer.
“That is no surprise,” she says. “Vince Gill is one of the biggest-hearted people I know in my life. He always makes you feel so warm and cuddly and just feel good.
McEntire and Rucker have seen plenty of each other in the last few days. They are currently preparing to host the CMA Awards this week. The Country Music Association awards will be held on Wednesday, November 11 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
