With her new album out, Reba McEntire has been answering fan questions about the release and much more. She even talks about her next possible project.
With basically three albums worth of music in one, Revived, Remixed, Revisited has given fans a lot to listen to. There are also so many great Reba hits that are throughout the set. The Revisited songs produced by Dave Cobb are my favorite. But, what about her next project?
“Well, Chase wanted to know if there was any songs that I wished I could have put on these three albums. Really what I wanna do, if I could do this next, are choose the songs that didn’t make it as singles off the albums in the past. Because, when I look for songs I’m thinking ‘Man this would be a great single!’ After you do three singles off an album the record label’s usually going ‘You need to go record some more songs.’ So I would take those songs that didn’t make it to be singles and put them on another album.”
Now that is an idea that many Reba McEntire fans can get behind. The country music legend has an extended catalog of music spanning multiple decades. There are plenty of deep cuts that likely would have been successful singles. If she can put that album together with new recordings (maybe talk to Dave Cobb again?) then I’m all about it. Tell me where to send the money.
Whether Reba does put that next project together or not, these three albums are full of great tunes. Reimagining all these songs in different styles really worked out. While it was a bold idea, the execution was almost flawless. Just a great release, especially for those fans that appreciate all things, Reba.
Reba McEntire and Boyfriend Rex Linn Duet
Since they have been together Reba McEntire and her boyfriend Rex Linn have seemed like a happy couple. The two are in a great place in their relationship. In fact, they are discussing tying the knot and making it official. While there isn’t a plan in place, the two have talked about marriage.
“We’ve talked about it and giggled about it. We thought if we ever did have a ceremony we’d have to have a 2 o’clock, 4 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and an 8 o’clock because we have so many acquaintances and family.”
Since they got together in 2020 they have survived through quite a time together. Not only have they gone through the pandemic together, both falling ill at one point, but they survived a collapsing building just a month ago. Those experiences are stresses that can make relationships rough, but not Reba McEntire and Rex Linn.
