Nothing quite says the Christmas season like getting on the tallest possible ladders, then balancing precariously while trying to hang lights or put on the tree-toppers.

For some of the most elaborate holiday lights, it also means the tallest, most dangerous ladders.

Country artist Tim McGraw wasn’t messing around when he picked out a Christmas tree this year. The tree reaches the top of McGraw’s enormous house.

With tall windows and an expansive, open ceiling, the tree is well over the average household tree-size. In fact, it looks like it could fit at a mall somewhere.

However, the best part is how McGraw is choosing to use the ladder. Instead of safely standing on the pegs, he is seen straddling the top or even lying down to reach farther.

The tree is decorated with small red and green lights. McGraw is seen putting on a sparkly, gold garland. There is no star at the top yet, hopefully, he’s still up there putting it on.

The holidays have become partially about going above and beyond with lights and decorations, unlike any other holiday. That means light shows, eccentric indoor and outdoor lighting.

According to the Guinness World Records, the largest cut Christmas tree was 221 feet and was located at the Northgate Shopping Center in Seattle, Washington. While McGraw’s tree is massive, it likely isn’t taking the new world record.

McGraw Is in the Christmas Spirit

Besides having a huge tree, both McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill, have been helping fans stay in the holiday spirit during this crazy year.

McGraw performed “It Wasn’t His Child” on the “CMA Country Christmas” show in late November. The country artist perched himself on a stool, in front of a fire, with only a microphone to sing the slow, rhythmic song.

McGraw also posted to his Facebook. a video of Faith Hill singing her famous Christmas tune “Where Are You Christmas.” In the video, she is singing in a cold, snowy environment with scenes from “Dr. Suess’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas” popping up.

The song was written by Mariah Carey, James Horner, and Will Jennings for the film. It was placed seventh on the list of all-time best-selling Christmas singles in 2016.

Between enormous trees and hit songs, it seems like the McGraw/Hill residence sure knows how to put on a Christmas show.
