WATCH: Vince Gill & His Daughter Corrina Perform Grammy-Winning ‘When My Amy Prays’

Vince Gill is celebrating his latest Grammy win by sharing a video of the song that won him the award. This past Sunday, March 14, he won Best Country Solo Performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Consequently, Vince Gill shared a video of him and his daughter performing the song “When My Amy Prays.” After winning the award, he reposted the passionate version of the song to Facebook.

In the video, Vince Gill sings alongside his daughter, Corrina, who is 20-years-old. She is playing the piano while her dad sings the song. Corrina plays incredibly well and deserves praise for being able to hold her own next to her father. After the two finish singing the song, they hold hands and bow to the audience.

In the Facebook post, Vince Gill talks about how special of a moment winning the Grammy was for him. He also talks about how much “When My Amy Prays” is to him. In the caption of the post, he also talks about how much he appreciates his fans.

“No matter where someone is in their career, they just want to be heard. So I am very honored to have been chosen for this Grammy, particularly for this song.”

The statement certainly shows how much the award means to the country singer. Additionally, at this point, he is a bonafide country music star, and this award backs that up.

It is extra special that Vince Gill got to perform the song with his daughter. The song’s lyrics give a brief glimpse into the relationship the two have together.

“She’s got my back and she don’t judge me / She gives my heart some time to change / Even at my worst I know she loves me / She’s my shelter from the rain.”
