In this newest addition to the “NCIS” universe, Vanessa Lachey stars as Jane Tennant. Tennant is a tough agent at the Hawaii “NCIS office. She is a woman who works hard to succeed in the business.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lachey’s Jane Tennant is the first woman to be named as a special agent in charge of the team’s Pearl Harbor Office.
The entertainment magazine also described Lachey’s “NCIS” character as a strong-willed agent.
“A woman in a male-dominated profession,” the entertainment outlet noted. “She’s thrived in a system that’s pushed back every step of the way through equal parts confidence and strategy.”

Jane Tennant is a single mother who is working to balance her exciting career with her at-home responsibilities.
“She’s also a mother raising her children mostly on her own and has to balance her duty to her kids and her country,” notes The Hollywood Reporter.
Lachey’s role in the new series will bring her into a new light for many of her fans. The “NCIS” role certainly is different than many of her past roles.
Lachey has been an American TV personality, for many years. The actress has also found fame as a model and beauty queen. Additionally, Lachey added to her resume when she hosted MTV’s Total Request Live. She also served as a correspondent on the popular show “Entertainment Tonight.”
Lachey was named as 1998’s Miss Teen USA.
Lachey wed fellow actor, Nick Lachey in 2011. The couple has three children. Vanessa Lachey has most recently starred in the television series “Call Me Kat.”
The actress has also found roles in “Truth Be Told.” Lachey has also cohosted the reality series “Love Is Blind.” The sure-to-be-a-hit, “NCIS: Hawai’i” is set to premiere on CBS this fall.
