Ron Howard, known for playing Opie Taylor on “The Andy Griffith Show,” is the proud father of twin daughters. They resemble Dad a lot.
Jocelyn Howard and Paige Howard were born on Feb. 5, 1985. They have an older sister, Bryce Dallas Howard, who is an actress. The twins also have a younger brother, Reed. Their mother is Cheryl, whom Ron Howard married on June 7, 1975.
The kids’ father, who appeared on “The Andy Griffith Show” for its entire run, admitted to Bryce that he simply wanted to be like his own father, actor Rance Howard.

“He was great,” Ron Howard said while being interviewed for Bryce’s documentary “Dads” in 2020. “I don’t think I was. Man, if you can be a good dad, that’s a blessing that you can pass on that’s beyond words. He really delivered.
“What ultimately adds up is what they see, what they witness, the way you as a father live your life,” Ron Howard said. He also says that a society where fathers are doing their best needs to be created. “Because at his best, a father provides a kind of consistent sense of safety and therefore possibility,” he said.
Jocelyn Howard is following Ron and sisters Paige and Bryce’s footsteps as an actress, according to an article from Wide Open Country. She is best known for appearing in “Arrested Development” in 2003. These days, though, Jocelyn reportedly is simply living life to its fullest out of the public eye.
Paige Howard Sort Of Teamed Up With Father On ‘Arrested Development’
As for Paige Howard, “The Andy Griffith Show” star’s daughter has been active in both TV and films. She made her television debut in a 2008 episode of “Medium.” In 2018, Paige sort of teamed up with her father in an episode of “Arrested Development.” Ron Howard, who was a producer on the series, also acted as narrator over each show.
Obviously, Ron and Cheryl Howard are proud of all of their children. Jocelyn and Paige may have followed their father and grandfather Rance’s footsteps into acting, but they do life in their own ways, too.
“The Andy Griffith Show” provided Ron with education in television and show business. He’s carried that over to his work on “Happy Days” and the numerous films he’s directed in his career, too. That, though, pales in comparison to simply being known to his twin daughters as Dad.
