“The Voice” coach Kelly Clarkson is putting together a solid team for herself this season, and she just made some key additions to her team in Monday and Tuesday night’s episodes.

Jeremy Rosado, a 29-year-old from Tampa, Florida, sang a gorgeous R&B rendition of the Rascal Flatts’ song “Here Comes Goodbye.” His incredible range and unique take on the song caused “The Voice” coaches Clarkson and Blake Shelton to turn around.

For a moment, Clarkson couldn’t say anything, just applauding the contestant on a wonderful performance. Then, she dove into why Rosado would make a great addition to her team.

“First of all, that was incredibly cool because I was like, ‘Okay, R&B singing a country song.’ That’s what we do on Team Kelly, because that’s what I love to do, personally,” Clarkson said. “I don’t have anybody — I’m gonna be honest, nobody has anybody on their team like you because nobody sings like you.”

But she quickly reminded Rosado that he’d have some work to do if he joined Team Kelly.

“There were a couple of parts, where I was like, ‘Hmm,’” she said, thinking critically. “But you’re so overwhelmingly talented that I would go for emotion over pitch when it comes to a vocalist like you. I would love to coach you!”

The “The Voice” coach also snuck in a gift promotion to sway Rosado to her side. “You’d look really cute in this turquoise number, just saying!” Clarkson said while holding up a sleek jacket with the words “Team Kelly” on the back.

After fellow coaches John Legend and Ariana Grande complimented the singer, Shelton began his pitch.

‘The Voice’ Coaches Vie for R&B Singer to Join their Teams

“What I love from your performance is that you wouldn’t take no for an answer,” Shelton told Rosado. “You just kept getting better and better. And that’s the kind of artist I want to work with, the ones who just continue to dig. And even in the moment, you did that, and that’s an impressive dude.”

But no matter how hard Shelton tried to sell himself, it wasn’t enough to sway the R&B singer. Rosado thanked all the “The Voice” coaches for their kind words before eventually choosing Clarkson as his coach. She ran up and stage to give him a hug and his new Team Kelly jacket.

But Clarkson’s victories weren’t over yet. Contestant Holly Forbes caused all four chairs to turn around during her chilling performance of Elton John’s “Rocketman.” The four judges tried their best to convince her to join their teams (except Legend, who was blocked by Grande). But eventually, she decided to join Team Kelly, giving Clarkson another leg up in the competition.
