A new season of the Paramount Network hit series “Yellowstone” is nearly upon us as only weeks remain before the premier.
Despite the season four premiere being just around the corner, “Yellowstone” fans still have to have their modern western fix. Fans of the show have taken to social media and message board forum sites to discuss their favorite show. Sites like Reddit are full of “Yellowstone” watchers who want nothing more than to talk about what’s going down on the Dutton Ranch. A very interesting hypothetical was bantered about in a recent Reddit thread. The thread starter asks fellow fans which of the Dutton family they could do without once the show returns next month. Many of the answers to these hypothetical questions are quite fascinating.
“If you had to kill one of the Duttons off from the attack, who would it be and why?” the “Yellowstone” fan asks.
As every “Yellowstone” watcher knows, the third season ends on a sour note for the Dutton family, owners of the ranch. As many as three members of the family could be dead, alive or somewhere in between when season four starts. The fates of John, Kayce and Beth Dutton are left totally up in the air as the final seconds of season three tick away. Many fans believe all three will miraculously survive the ordeal but that is far from a given. “Yellowstone” fans have some very strong thoughts on the subject.
‘Yellowstone’ Fans Discuss Possible Dutton Family Deaths
The Reddit thread drew numerous replies and some strong opinions were shared on the subject.
“Beth should be dead with the size of that bomb,” a fan says. “Regardless of what the show decides, in real life, she would be a corpse. That thing absolutely had enough pressure to kill, let alone how large the blast itself was.”
“Kayce,” another Redditor replies. “He’s amazing, I love his character, but I’d throw him under the bus to keep Beth and John. And I think Jamie is too much of an integral character to lose.”
“I would pick John Dutton if I had to choose one,” another “Yellowstone” fan says. “I think it’s time for him to hand the ranch off to one of his kids. It would most likely be Kayce that would take over. That would be another interesting twist to the show. But, I really hope none of them die.”
As the central characters of “Yellowstone,” the Dutton family is the soil in which the show plants its storylines. It would be tough on fans of the show to say goodbye to any of the heavily beloved characters.
But, this “Yellowstone” we are talking about here — a show with qualms about killing off ket characters and reworking storylines.
We can’t want to find out what the ranch has in store us when season four arrives on November 7.
