Texas fans are absolutely losing their minds as low-profile filming for Yellowstone takes place in a sleepy little North Texas town.

“I couldn’t believe it was actually happening,” says Mary Anderson. Anderson is the owner of Mary’s Brazos Cafe in Parker County, North Texas. And she just got the surprise of a lifetime.

Her favorite show, Yellowstone, is a creation of Taylor Sheridan – a fellow North Texan. Sheridan and the production crew were in Anderson’s town filming for Season 4. Here, she operates her Tin Top restaurant, and has for over 29 years. And she’s been on television before, sure. As part of the local news. Nothing like this, however, has happened to her “in her entire life”.

“The street on the other side was lined up with my customers watching and trying to see what was going on. It was awesome,” Anderson says of what will forever be known as “Yellowstone Day”.

“We cooked cheeseburgers, catfish, chicken fried steaks, a lot catfish. We had to keep cooking because they had to redo and redo and redo, and one of the cowboys said, “I don’t know if I can eat anymore,” Anderson laughs.

Yellowstone Creator Hand-Picked Local Cafe for Filming

“Sooo…This happened today:) Yellowstone was at the cafe for a scene shoot. They were a very hard working and very sweet crew.Watch next season in June for us,it was a very exciting day for us all!”

Moreover, Mary Anderson should be absolutely thrilled as to how Yellowstone came to pick her restaurant.

Speaking to local news, creator Taylor Sheridan says “I chose Mary’s because that’s where we have breakfast when I’m here.”

Sheridan, a Fort Worth ISD graduate and Bosque County ranch owner – is also one of Mary’s customers – she just had no idea!

“Uh! I take your money all the time!”

“I spent a lot of time at horse shows and rodeo and whatnot, so I was kinda raised at Will rogers and obviously the Stockyards; everyone’s gone there. I didn’t discover Mary’s until a few years ago, at least Mary’s down here on the Brazos and sure like her and her place,” Sheridan says.

If Anderson wasn’t losing her mind before – she will be after seeing the full interview. “He came up,” she recalls. “I asked, ‘where’s the man who writes this stuff?’ He pulled his mask down – and I said, ‘Uh! I take your money all the time’ – and he said, ‘That’s me.”

Sheridan is remaining tight-lipped on Season 4 details. She does, however, post photos of the shirts that will be on the show.

“I couldn’t believe they put Mary’s Brazos Cafe on the shirts,” she gleams. That’s right – her restaurant – name and all – makes it into Yellowstone S4.

Season 4 will hit Paramount Network in 2021. Keep your eyes on Outsider.com for the eventual reveal of a premiere date.
