Country star Lainey Wilson doesn’t just provide a piece of the soundtrack for “Yellowstone.” She’s also a fan of the show.

Mike Arsenault, host of the Canadian show Global News, interviewed the country singer recently. And his final question to her was which “Yellowstone” character she would like to be.

“Oh my gosh, Beth,” Wilson replied quickly. “I’m crazy. I would absolutely be Beth. I mean, she—here’s the thing: I wish I could be Beth. Like, she’s terrifying, she’s everything, just, Beth’s got it going on.”

Beth’s Fate Hangs in the Balance

However, at the end of Season 3, Wilson’s favorite character got caught up in a bomb blast after her assistant opened a suspicious package.

Now the question on many “Yellowstone” fans’ minds is: Does Beth make it?

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Beth actress Kelly Reilly acknowledged that the last season ended with a major cliffhanger. But she refused to tip her hand.

“I’m not allowed to really say too much about whether or not I’m part of season four,” she said. “In fact, I’m not allowed to say anything. But what I can say is that season four has been shot, and that it’s wonderful what happens. I will say that. It’s really mind-blowing and big and extravagant, and Taylor Sheridan came back. He writes every script, and he directed a bunch of them again, so I know it’s bigger than ever.”

That little tidbit was not enough for some fans, who have taken to Reddit to debate various aspects of the series’ plot. Like whether Jamie sent the bomb. Or what John Dutton (Kevin Costner) would do if he knew Beth’s secret. Or whether it matters how old Beth is.

Reilly on Beth’s Fierce Voice in ‘Yellowstone’

Reilly has said that she goes with her gut when it comes to acting choices.

She told Screen Rant that Beth is a very “fierce” character and that she’s able to use her voice very effectively. So if you’re a female singer, how can you not respond to that?

“I’ve been working for the past few years on a show called Yellowstone, where I play a very fierce character,” Reilly explained. “As an actor, you really want to keep changing it up for yourself and dipping into different things to keep your own taste buds alive… In the [‘Eight for Silver’] character, there was constraint and silence and loneliness. And I just felt like she doesn’t really use her voice; she’s not able to.”

Hopefully, Season 4 will feature more of Beth’s voice. If show co-creator Taylor Sheridan kills her off, he may have some sad country songs coming his way.
