“Yellowstone” star Jen Landon was really excited when she learned that veteran actress Jacki Weaver, a two-time Academy Award nominee, would be joining the cast of “Yellowstone.”
There was just one catch: Landon’s character, Teeter, did not have any scenes with Weaver’s character, Caroline Warner. And the production crew, perhaps due to pandemic-related concerns, did not want to let Landon meet Weaver.
In a new video posted to Twitter, Landon answered @Yellowstone’s question – “Who is new to the cast this season that you’re most excited for fans to meet?” – with a twofold answer.
“I am most excited for fans to meet Finn Little, because he’s an awesome actor and his character is awesome,” Landon said. “However, I was most excited to meet Jacki Weaver, because she is one of my top ten favorite actresses. But Taylor did not write a scene for me with Jacki. And production did not let me meet her.”
What’s Next for Teeter in Season 4?
In Season 3 of “Yellowstone,” Teeter and fellow ranch hands Colby (Denim Richards), Ryan (Ian Bohen) and Walker (Ryan Bingham) got branded with the Dutton Ranch’s signature Y. It was part of their buy-in to a grisly revenge killing that followed an attack on Teeter and Colby by Wade Morrow (Boots Southerland), Roarke’s (Josh Holloway) hired attack dog.
But it looks like the Dutton Ranch hands are far from finished with Roarke and his employer, Market Equities. Season 4 will bring a new villain, Market Equities CEO Warner (Weaver). Warner’s stated goal – “to pave this whole place over” – is sharply at odds with John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) vision for the valley. So there are sure to be some fireworks with the arrival of the hedge fund’s head honcho.
While Teeter was not one of the characters whose fate hung in the balance after the Season 3 finale attacks, she was pretty beaten-up by the end of Season 3. And with the Dutton Ranch probably coming under attack in Season 4, no one – not even the tough-talking, pink-haired Teeter – is safe.
Jen Landon Is Looking Forward to Payback As Much As Any ‘Yellowstone’ Fan
Meanwhile, Landon is gleefully anticipating the payback that Rip (Cole Hauser) is sure to deliver to whoever attacked the Duttons in Season 3. In a behind-the-scenes featurette released last month, Landon seemed to relish the prospect of revenge in Season 4.
“The retaliation that those who wronged the Duttons are facing is one of incomparable scale,” Landon said.
The only question is, how fast can Rip track down the party or parties behind the attacks? The Duttons’ enemies list is long, and without Jamie (Wes Bentley) to run legal interference for him, it’s getting a little bit harder for Dutton to hide the bodies of his foes.
