The Yellowstone alum, a massive hockey fan and player himself, is getting his little daughter ready for a life on the ice!
The latest from Lee Dutton actor Dave Annable shows he and his wife, fellow actor Odette Annable, are “back on the ice” with their daughter, Charlie. It’s a great snapshot that any family would be proud to have. In this instance, the two parents just so happen to be well-known Hollywood actors!
“Only thing missing was people firing pucks at me. #goalielife,” Dave posts to his official Instagram Monday. Within, he’s sporting a NJ Devils jersey – a team that holds more meaning to Annable than most things in life!
“Charlie is her daddy’s twin!!” one Yellowstone fan comments of the adorable family shot.
“Start her early!” another says, knowing Dave’s affinity for hockey. “Good to see you back on the ice!” another follower echoes.
“You’ve been one of my fave actors since B&S, and now learning this, I adore you even more!” adds an excited fan. “My 11 year old son has been a goalie for three years, which ironically is about how long I’ve had my Xanax prescription,”
Before ‘Yellowstone’ – There Was the NHL for Dave Annable
Dave’s wife Odette, who fans may know better by her maiden name Odette Yustman, rose to fame as Dr. Jessica Adams on the beloved Fox medical drama series House. More recently, she’s starred as Samantha Arias/Reign on CW’s Supergirl. Now, she’s a big part of the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot on the same network as Geri Broussard.
As for Dave himself, his rise came courtesy of the ABC television drama Brothers & Sisters in 2006 (until 2011) as Justin Walker. Before that, and dozens of other Hollywood projects including Yellowstone, however, Dave Annable had another passion: New Jersey Devils hockey.
“I actually grew up going to Devils games,” he tells the NHL’s Eric Marin. “My dad and grandfather had season tickets and I used to come to all these games back when Chris Terreri and Pat Verbeek and all those guys were playing. So I’m a lifelong fan from a family of Devils fans.”
No wonder he’s got his little daughter skating! Annable is a player himself – a self-professed goaltender who’s on the ice as much as he can be in L.A. But Back in 2008, the Yellowstone star said he’d “been associated with the NHL for about a year,” and began building a working relationship with the hockey league.
“I started by doing a playoff blog for the Devils and then the NHL brought the Stanley Cup to my set and I got to hold it,” he continues for Marin. “My dad came out to visit and it was an amazing experience.”
