Jared Padalecki is suiting up for his role as Walker in the “Walker, Texas Ranger” reboot. Images were leaked of the actor in uniform.
The photos are of Padelacki in the Texas Ranger costume. The images were first posted on Deke Anderson’s IMDB page, TV Line reports. Anderson is a guest star on the show, and the two can be seen together in this behind the scenes photo.
It seems like Padalecki is supporting a shorter hairdo for the role, but nonetheless, he still has his boyish good looks.
Jared Padalecki Suits up for New Role
Padalecki was already a star on The CW channel. He spent several years as Sam Winchester on the hit show “Supernatural.” Now, he’s jumping characters but remaining on the same network.
It was first announced in September 2019 that “Walker, Texas Ranger” would getting the revamp. Additionally, the new version of the western show will be airing on The CW in January 2021.
Below is a trailer for the reboot. The former “Supernatural” star is not in the video, but you can hear his voice narrate the teaser.
The official synopsis of the show states that the show is a reimagine on the long-running series.
“‘Walker, Texas Ranger,’ stars Jared Padalecki as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.”
Walker will try and reconnect to his two children and navigate the muddy waters of his family dynamics. Furthermore, the Texas Ranger will have to find his place at work.
“Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner (one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history) played by Lindsey Morgan, while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death,” the description continues.
Jared Padalecki is also known for his work in Gilmore Girls, Friday the 13th, and ER.
