“Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” kicked off on Sunday, Sept. 26 with guest appearances from three big stars looking to spin the legendary wheel.
“Seinfeld” actor Jason Alexander faced off against “Dancing With the Stars” pro dancer Cheryl Burke and WWE wrestler Michael “The Miz” Mizanin. Out of the three, Alexander ended up winning big during the game, leading him to the Bonus Round with iconic host Pat Sajak.
Though he didn’t end up guessing the Bonus Round answer, Alexander still raised a significant amount of money for his chosen charity, Americares. Although, when Sajak’s daughter and new “Wheel of Fortune” social coordinator Maggie Sajak asked him what his game strategy was, Alexander had a hilariously honest answer.
“There’s no strategy,” Alexander confessed. “There is no strategy.”
Maggie spoke to all three contestants on what their approach to the game was. Cheryl Burke took a completely opposite approach to Alexander. “I definitely prepped. As a dancer, I’m very OCD, I guess you could say. And I like to come prepared.”
Meanwhile, “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” contestant “The Miz” specifically focused on one competitor. “When you have a beast like Jason Alexander, you need to be focused. You need to be calm, cool and collected. And I feel like I raised a lot of money today. That’s all that matters.”
“Wheel of Fortune” tweeted Maggie’s interviews with the three contestants earlier today. “New season, New stars, New behind-the-scenes exclusives,” the game show captioned the video. “Catch the all-new Celebrity Spin with @MaggieSajak featuring this week’s interviews from @CherylBurke, @IJasonAlexander, and @mikethemiz.”
In addition to asking about their gameplay, Maggie also asked the “Wheel of Fortune” contestants about their chosen charities and individual projects each of them is currently working on.

“Wheel of Fortune” is a tough game for anyone to play, even those who study it relentlessly. So we shouldn’t be surprised that a few celebrities struggle during the spin-off version of the game. Recent contestant Jason Alexander must not have watched the show much prior to getting on, though, because he made a few simple but hilarious mistakes during his Bonus Round.
Alexander already admitted to Maggie Sajak that he had no strategy going into the game. But he did well enough to land in the Bonus Round with host Pat Sajak.
All Wheel Watchers know the basic mechanics of the Bonus Round. The contestant’s puzzle has the letters “R, S, T, L, N, E” filled in before the clock starts because they’re the most common ones. Then the contestant chooses three more consonants and one more vowel to go up on the board before guessing.
Alexander picked “P” and “M” quickly for his letters, followed by a “T.” Sajak reminded him that’s already part of the “original package.” So, Alexander goes with his next choice. “Uhhhhh a ‘P’.” Which Sajak reminds him he’s already chosen.
