Not only did he recently begin filming the 12th season of “Blue Bloods,” but Donnie Wahlberg also has another new start to celebrate.
This other new start is the opening of a new location in his family’s restaurant chain. The chain, of course, is the cleverly titled Wahlburgers. According to NBC Palm Springs, the new location opened on Friday, July 23, inside the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa. This venue is located in Cabazon, California.
Unsurprisingly, some of the star items on the Wahlburgers menu are hamburgers. They also offer salads, other sandwiches, kids’ meals, and tasty sides.
The restaurant chain was started by “Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg, his movie star brother Mark Wahlberg, and their brother, Paul Wahlberg. Also, Paul is a chef. And, according to the chain’s website, he looked to what he and his family members ate when they were growing up. “Come in for menu items based on the same recipes Paul and his 8 siblings devoured as kids – with a chef-inspired twist. Bite into a mouth-watering burger with government cheese or dig into one of our delicious salads,” the website says.
The new location has found an ideal home, according to Paul Wahlberg.
“It’s just such a great spot, it’s such a great casino and great resort and people are just super nice and really just trying to get back out there,” Paul said. He is the executive chef of the restaurant chain.
Brother Of ‘Blue Bloods’ Star Donnie Wahlberg Said Opening New Location Is ‘Great’
Opening a “Wahlburgers” new restaurant these days is an ideal time, according to the “Blue Bloods” star’s brother.
“This is great because for us it’s really kind of getting back into it, you know, as obviously as the business opens up again and starts moving,” Paul Wahlberg also said.
People were lined up waiting for the opening of “Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg and the company’s latest restaurant venture. Also, some even waited hours to get in the door.
“Three hours early, three hours early we have been waiting in line for this,” diner Kozie Santiago shared.
By opening a new Wahlburgers location in Cabazon, California, “Blue Bloods” star Donnie Wahlberg, Mark Wahlberg, and Paul Wahlberg brought dozens of jobs to the area, according to an official with the casino.
“When they opened up shop here, they worked really hard, they opened up about 30 to 40 positions, both from the front of the house to the back of the house to the kitchen.
“They provided jobs and growth for a number of people, including some of the Morongo team members here as well,” Simon Farmer said. Farmer is the executive director of marketing with Morongo Casino Resort and Spa.
There are many Wahlburgers locations across the United States. Other locations include such cities as Boston, Massachusetts; Frisco, Texas; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Cleveland, Ohio; Las Vegas, Nevada; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and West Hollywood, California. They also have two international locations. One is in Toronto, Canada, the other is in Ramstein, Germany.
