Gwen Stefani Releases New Pop Single

Stefani’s new single, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself,” dropped on Monday. The song was recorded while in quarantine and is co-written by renowned songwriter Ross Golan and rising writer and producer Luke Niccoli.

This song is Stefani’s first official solo single since the release of her 2015 album This Is What The Truth Feels Like.

The lyric video for “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” also dropped on YouTube on Monday. Listen below:

“Binge on my music for days ’cause I’ve been here for years / Not a comeback (Oh), I’m recycling me / It’s not a comeback (Oh), you feel that new enеrgy,” Stefani sings. The pop icon makes a nod towards some of her other popular hits including “Hollaback Girl” and “Bananas.”

The pop star makes reference to the year 2020. Although this year has been a challenging one, Stefani wants people to be happy with this light-hearted tune. She sings about refocusing and seeing “in color like new crayons.”

“Let me re, let re-introduce myself / Case you forgot no I’m not records on your shelf / I’m still the original-original old me,” the chorus says.
