Kid Rock dropped a new ad in support of the GOP, days before the upcoming Nov. 3 election. Rock is supporting Republican Candidate John James in his election for the Michigan Senate. In the ad, Rock said he wants to elect a “bada–” into office.
In the ad that John James shared, Rock narrates some of James’ accomplishments such as graduating from West Point. Rock, who was born Robert James Ritchie, is a Michigan native. Currently, James is in a race against incumbent Democratic Sen. Gary Peters.
“John is a West Point graduate combat veteran in Operation Iraqi Freedom and job creator. John James was successful before he got into politics rather than use politics to be successful. He wants to help others create jobs and put Michigan to work,” Kid Rock says in the ad.
Rock compares James and Peters to each other. He described Peters as a “career politician.” So far, Peters has held his position in the Michigan Senate since 2015.
“He understands Michigan. We’ve worked to make our families stronger, get our communities more involved and help our neighbors first,” Rock said in the narration. “John is the leader we need in the U.S. Senate. It’s the warfighter versus the gaslighter. The combat veteran versus the career politician.”
Kid Rock Publically Endorsed Donald Trump As President
Kid Rock has been a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump for both his state and Twitter followers. The musician even performed at a pro-Trump rally with Trump’s son Donald Jr. in September. During the rally, Rock performed several of his songs for the audience.
“If you believe in the leadership of Donald Trump, if you believe in more leadership of Donald Trump, that you live and will always live and support and stand for the greatest country in the world, make some d–n noise!” he said.
The musician also attended the final presidential debate at Belmont University in late October. He was seen sitting next to golfer John Daly who also supports Trump.
