Protesters continue to make their presence outside of Brian Laundrie’s home known. Over the past few weeks, people have consistently stood their ground outside the Florida residence, saying things like, “your silence is your guilt.” Today, a group broke into chants, and one protester even earned himself a ticket for violating noise ordinances using a bullhorn.
If you’re new to the situation revolving around the Gabby Petito homicide, Outsider has you covered with all of the information you could need. The short of it is that many suspect Brian Laundrie of killing Gabby Petito, his late fiancee. He is currently nowhere to be found, and some now suspect his parents of either helping him flee or knowing where he’s hiding.
Folks have been congregating outside of the Laundrie family home in North Port. They have done everything from leaving a memorial to pleading with the parents to help the police find Brian. But the Laundries have, in the eyes of the law, done nothing wrong. And people chanting into your home at all hours of the day isn’t what anyone wants. It’s also illegal, depending on the circumstances.
So the North Port Police have gotten involved. As one can imagine, it didn’t take long for them to start enforcing the law. One particular exchange included a man armed with a bullhorn.

The protesters are in the middle of a neighborhood. So the disturbances caused are further reaching than one family’s home. And, of course, the North Port Police are obligated to write citations if people entirely disregard noise ordinances.
Brian Laundrie is Not Your Average Fugitive
Brian Laundrie is indeed a wanted man. However, he remains wanted only for his unauthorized use of banking accounts in early September. It’s abundantly clear, though, that law enforcement sees him as a key to unraveling the homicide of Gabby Petito.
Millions of dollars have now been spent in Brian Laundrie’s pursuit. Much of the time and effort has revolved around the Carlton Reserve area of Florida—expansive, swampy terrain where Brian told his parents he was headed. Even Dog the Bounty Hunter has joined the search, though he has his own ideas about Laundrie’s whereabouts.
However, according to former FBI agent Bryanna Fox, locating Brian is a taller task than many anticipated.
“Unlike other fugitives or people that are missing, we typically have reason to believe they’re in a populated area. In this case, it looks like he attempted to maybe go off the grid and is not living in society. So it makes it even harder to find him,” Fox told CNN.
