While fans are congratulating Bryson DeChambeau for his win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational Sunday, former golfer Paige Spiranac is having none of it. She didn’t take issue with his play. She was annoyed that DeChambeau would drop Tiger Woods’ name in the post-win interview.
Woods is still in the hospital recovering from serious leg injuries and surgeries following a car crash on Feb. 23. DeChambeau said the golfing legend texted him earlier in the day and told him to “keep fighting.”
“It means the world to me,” DeChambeau said of the win, according to the New York Post. “I got a text from Tiger this morning, and he obviously had done really well here and was very instrumental in Mr. Palmer’s life as Mr. Palmer was to Tiger. We just talked about just keep fighting no matter what happens, play boldly, like Mr. Palmer said. My heart has been heavy with Tiger and what’s been going on with him, just kept telling myself, it’s not how many times you get kicked down, it’s about how many times you get picked back up and keep going,” he continued.
Spiranac found the whole thing “annoying.” She tweeted that she respected DeChambeau, but she just didn’t like him.
When fans joined in with her, she replied, “I didn’t like the Tiger name drop either.” Spiranac tweeted about Woods recently, saying she “can’t stop thinking” about him since his wreck.
DeChambeau fans weren’t happy with Spiranac’s attacks. They wanted to know why she went after him, and the 27-year-old responded, “He just comes off disingenuous at times.”
Paige Spiranac Can Afford To Speak Her Mind Online

When it comes to Instagram, she reportedly has more followers than Woods, McIlroy, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and many other major sports celebrities on social media.
And she frequently speaks her mind, shows off her outfits and her golf swing online. Spiranac also holds little back on her wildly popular podcast, “Playing A Round With Paige Renee.” It is one of the top-ranked golfing podcasts every week.
Recently, Spiranac became an ambassador for sports betting site PointsBet.
