The newest episode of legendary quarterback Peyton Manning’s show Peyton’s Places released this weekend, and it offers a glimpse at the QB introducing his young son to multiple NFL icons.
During last season’s Super Bowl, the NFL celebrated the league’s 100th anniversary all-time team. Dozens of the league’s best-ever players attended, including Manning, and mingled with one another throughout the day. For Manning’s young son, Marshall, it was a special day getting to meet numerous NFL greats as ESPN cameras captured their interactions.
Season 2 of Peyton’s Places kicked off its first episode with an opening segment of Manning and 9-year-old Marshall. First, they showed what NFL star Marshall wanted to meet and get his picture taken with the most. Turns out it was his dad’s former defensive rival, Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed. Manning snaps a photo of his son and Reed together, and Marshall is seen grinning ear to ear.
“I wanted my son Marshall to know the NFL’s greats as I know them. As great people,” Manning says in the show.
Next, Marshall is standing in a circle of five all-time greats, including his dad, as they tower over the child. Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre amusingly asks Marshall, “Do you even know who I am?” With no hesitation, Marshall says “Brett Favre.” The young football fan knows his stuff. His dad has taught him well.

Marshall goes on to meet a laundry list of who’s who in the NFL’s 100th anniversary all-time team. He meets Darrell Green, Deion Sanders, coach Joe Gibbs, and then points out iconic wide receiver Randy Moss.
“You know who else is up there, is Randy Moss. You gonna tell him about that time you Moss’d that guy?” Manning says to Marshall, referencing Moss’ signature leaping catches over defenders.
Marshall’s experience continues as he meets and takes photos with two iconic running backs. First, Dallas Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith and then Detroit Lions legend Barry Sanders. Additionally, Marshall took a pic with his dad and two of his old Colts teammates, Edgerrin James and Marvin Harrison.
The segment concludes with Manning joking around with his son because his phone storage had filled up. However, it wasn’t because of too many photo ops with NFL greats.
“By the way, I couldn’t take a couple pictures with those players because of the hundred face selfies you took of yourself. It said you have no more room for pictures. Because you took one hundred pictures of your face this morning,” Manning joked with his son.
