Tributes to legendary golf pro Tiger Woods continue to pour in as many are wishing him a speedy recovery from his injuries.

Woods was involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. He was reportedly running late for a photoshoot with NFL stars Drew Brees and Justin Herbert. Woods lost control of his vehicle and crossed two lanes before flipping his vehicle and coming to rest aside the road in a grassy area.

He was then taken from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The golfer suffered multiple lower-body injuries including shattering his right ankle. He also suffered a compound fracture in the same leg. Woods reportedly spent several hours in emergency surgery as doctors were able to save his life. Medical officials say he is in good spirits today (Wednesday) as he rests and recovers from his injuries.

Many celebrities, athletes and public figures have paid tribute to Woods’ legacy and wished him well in the recovery process. Former United States President Barack Obama is among those to use social media to send Tiger positive vibes.

Tiger Woods Sand Art Draws Social Media Attention

On Wednesday, a legendary golf course found a creative way to honor Woods and offer their thoughts and prayers. Scotland’s St. Andrew’s Links, the oldest golf course in the world, used one of their bunkers to create beautiful sand art honoring Woods. The infamous golf course, that Woods is very familiar with, dates back all the way to the 15th century. Woods famously won the Open Championship at the Old Course at St. Andrews in 2000 and 2005.

St. Andrews worker Robert Lloyd created the masterpiece to pay tribute to the golfer on behalf of the golf course staff. The magnificent design features Tiger’s logo as well as the words “Thoughts and Prayers” within it. Lloyd, an American, says he has never met Tiger Woods but considers himself a huge fan of the golfer. He told TMZ Sports the sand mural took him about an hour to complete.

It is unclear what the injury means for Tiger’s future and career. What is clear is that he is on the receiving end of a lot of love and support.
