Well, the moment has come. Tom Brady has officially taken the field at Gillette Stadium, marking his return since moving to Tampa. Coming out of “Brady’s Corner” the undisputed GOAT jogged out to get loose before the game.

It is the return of the Brady. It even has its own hashtag and emoji on Twitter. Fans in Foxborough popped when the quarterback took the field. A very warm welcome from the Patriots crowd.

It wasn’t just any kind of warm welcome. While other fans have booed former franchise players in the past, the New England faithful knows when to pay their respects. The crowd didn’t just pop for the veteran QB, they started chanting for him like old times.

Tom Brady may have savored his intro, and he is going to take the field to play, but it is going to be business once the ball is kicked off. After that, he has four quarters to get his team a win. Right now, these teams are on different trajectories. The Buccaneers are coming off a Super Bowl victory and are looking to do it again.

Meanwhile, the Patriots have a rookie quarterback in Mac Jones. The former Alabama passer is hoping to be the new franchise player for New England. However, the growing pains have been obvious. He threw three interceptions in his last game and only one touchdown. It hasn’t all been bad though. They do have a win over the New York Jets.

Tom Brady Prepares to Break Passing Record

With over 80,000 yards already to his name, Tom Brady is just 68 yards away from breaking the all-time passing record for the NFL. At 44-years-old, he has been redefining what it means to play the position for over 20 years. Seriously, he has so many records, listing them would take too long.

However, he does have some pretty impressive records to his name. That includes his number of Super Bowl titles, all the age records he has set, the career touchdowns record…you get the picture. With the weapons that Brady has, the 68 yards shouldn’t be difficult.

So far this season he has games of 379, 276, and 432 yards. He has thrown for 10 touchdowns through three games and doesn’t look to be slowing down. He is going to feel right at home back in Gillette Stadium, so expect big things from the GOAT tonight.

If Tom Brady is able to break the record, there will be a pause to acknowledge the accomplishment. However, the game will not take a break. Prior to the game, there is also going to be a special tribute video shown at the stadium. A touching gesture from the Patriots to their former franchise star.
